Commonly
used by silent and later movie stars, the real photo ‘fan photos’ were mailed
out to fans upon request. Usually about
the size of a postcard and on heavy stock, they commonly have the faux
signature and salutation from the star.
Image quality varies. Most have
pleasant but massed produced images.
They are easy to find for today’s collectors and mostly inexpensive.
