the beautiful people: the art of collecting celebrity photographs

photo #3) "Twiggy" 1960s 33mm transaprency. Just like negatives, the postive transparencies are used to make the final paper photographs. They are usually used to make color photographs, with some photographers feeling that they produce superior colors than from negatives. Transparencies range from small (33mm) to 8x10". The 33mm come in long strips, just like the negatives you put in your camera. Your home vacation slides are transparencies, held in cardboard frames, and can be made into paper photos.
